June 13, 2010 | #90 - Reliant Remembers Roseland - posted by Amanda #90 - Reliant Remembers Roseland, Benches on Parade, A Community Arts Project for the Greater Rochester Area, Presented by Nazareth College. This Reliant Federal Credit Union sponsored bench was created by artist Larry M. Kay and is located in front of the Canandaigua Branch of Reliant, on Moran Rd. in Canandaigua. 'Remembering Roseland' is the theme, and the front depicts the carousel that was at Roseland Amusement Park. The back depicts the old Roseland Amusement Park and many of the rides that were housed there. As a young child, I remembering going to Roseland a two or three times a summer. Every Saturday and Sunday, picturerochester.com will showcase a bench for the public to view. There are a total of 117 benches. |
